Why do you think that God has forsaken you, because you have not your barns full? You say, “There are those of the Faith, that are rich, and we sit here poor, and in need. God has forsaken us, I want what the others have.” Are you, who say this, still carnal minded? Think about this. There are those that teach, All Christians will be rich. All Christians will be happy, and full of Joy in this life. All Christians will never see trouble, nor despair. This is a lie, and false doctrine. Why do you listen to such people? Why do you seek those things that the gentiles seek, the unbelieving, the lost? Are you no better off with Christ than you were before? Do you not relish, and glorify God, for you salvation and deliverance?
The Lord told you at the beginning; “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?” Have you not listened, or learned, or have you just not understood, the Lords messages? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
