Others use a mix of natural and paid inclusions. Google does not offer paid inclusion for its natural search results.

    Banner Ads – The big flashy adverts at the top of website pages are known as banner ads. If a user clicks the ad it will direct them to the advertisers website. This is probably the first technique used en mass to promote products or services. They are less effective these days so not used as much as in the past as studies show that we are generally 'banner blind.'
