    Pain Management: What Is Energy?
We will explore how our vital energy affects our sense of well-being. We will see how we can control this energy to reduce stress and pain. What is this energy, and how can we access it?Think of an electric light. When you flip a wall switch, a light goes on somewhere in the house. How did the energy get to the light bulb when you flipped the light switch? As we are all aware, there are wires running through the wall, but you can't see them. We have similar energy circuits in our body. We call them meridians. They run throughout our body, but we can't see them. We can access them using our own energy switches by touching, massaging, or holding certain reflex points on the surface of our body.If a garden hose has a kink in it, water may not be able to flow and many times the water may stop flowing. This is the same with the meridians. If there is a blockage/kink in the meridian system, energy may not be able to flow which may be one of the causes of our stress and pain and disease. We speak about energy in the muscles. Every muscle is connected to a meridian and every meridian is connected to an organ. Working with the muscles we can work with the whole body energy system.Acupuncturist use the meridians to access the ‘Chi’ Energy to help the energy flow.We have all experienced pain in one way or another. Even though we don't like pain, pain can be our friend. Like the wall switch and the light bulb, when something is not working properly, our body sends us pain messages to alert us to that fact.If the light bulb doesn't go on when we flip the switch, or if it keeps flickering on and off, we can say there is something wrong with the electric energy source for the light bulb or the switch.Similarly if our body is sending a pain message, we know that there is something that needs attention to restore proper working order. All too often we tend to ignore the pain or to cover it up with pain killing drugs. But instead we can balance the subtle energies that control the body and mind.Pain maybe caused by some sort of stress. We can usually classify stress into one of four categories:• Mental-emotional stress can be experienced in the home, the workplace, the playground, etc. and can result from both disturbing events and exciting, challenging events.• Physical-structural stress includes muscle imbalances and postural problems and may often result from exertion or Repetitive Muscle Stress (RMS). Anti-Aging Secret - Older Is Younger Than Old
As the years pass by there is absolutely no reason why we should feel old, frail, useless or ‘past it’.The spirit of man is ageless and for this reason that inner knowledge of ‘feeling’ as though we are no different no matter what the DOB claims will never go away.Changes to relationships or a job may have changed ideas, thoughts and plans and created a different lifestyle.Providing health is basically good that essential ‘you’ will remain in tact.People have often been heard to say ‘I don’t feel any different to how I did at twenty’ and the spirit is the reason. We have been given the power and authority to maintain and develop that special ‘goodness’ even if health is not excellent.Happy healthy people who have been through major challenges and enjoyed victories have even been bold enough to say, ‘I feel better now than I did at twenty’.If a health tonic is being taken this will usually get the credit. Its not a detailed complex and expensive diet or collection of vitamins that have created the true and permanent feeling of well-being.Positive simple processes fed into the spirit during the time of adversity have played the primary role in the refreshing.Food, exercise, diet and correct vitamin needs have a role but should never be the primary focus of the life of a happy victorious citizen.Fear has been a primary weapon used to attack minds filling them with a need for total dependency on the health system. The medical profession certainly has a place but not to the point where daily dialogue dictates even the time of rising. The correct, regular and powerful use of Mouthpower (the power of the spoken word) can increase that spirit based feeling of youthful vigor as well as changing the outcome of the day.Copyright 2006 Patricia Little
There is a bold move of the Holy Spirit within the body of Messiah today (and I'm not talking about the "emerging church"). It's a move that has been going on quietly for many years but is now picking up steam. Many followers of Yeshua are leaving the institutional church and searching for what it is they should really be doing, rather than acting as observers in a liturgy created by man (i.e., the institutional church). I personally believe this is a move by God through His Holy Spirit to bring the body of Messiah back to Yeshua. For almost 1,700 years this new, man-made religion of "Christianity" has led many followers of Yeshua into bondage. Unfortunately, most of them were never even aware of it. But I believe that there was always a remnant of the early believers, hidden in the folds of history for a time such as this.

(Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that this is the remnant of Israel that God spoke about through His prophets. No, the body of Messiah has not by any means replaced the nation of Israel. Rather, the Gentiles have been grafted into the rich olive tree, which is Israel. They have become a part of the commonwealth of Israel; they have not replaced it.)

There are, of course, many people that will never leave the institutional church. In fact, probably more will stay than will leave. And I am not in any way condemning them. What they do is between them and God. I am speaking here of those who do choose to leave. For most of them, they are seeking to know the truth, to cast aside the traditions of men and follow the commandments of God. They are tired of sitting on the sidelines while one or two people "lead the show". They want to interact directly with God, share with others what the Lord is doing in their lives and the insights that He has revealed to them, all without having to be "ordained". They are sick of religion and churchianity.

    The Focus on Meetings

For some reason which I probably will never understand, meetings have become the main focus of the institutional church. It's really what defines the whole organization.

Because of this focus on meetings, it's not surprising that in leaving the institution of the organized church one of the biggest problems that many people have is trying to figure out what they are supposed to do. They have become so used to going to a designated building at a predetermined time each week and sitting quietly while a "meeting" is led by some person with the official title of "pastor" or "shepherd" or some other form of address. They are not quite sure what to do now that they are outside of that institution. Where should the meetings take place? How often should they meet? Should they even meet at all? What type of things should be done at the meetings? Who is in charge of the meetings?

It's a very scary proposition for many people and that's quite understandable. The idea of going against something that has been established for 1,700 years can be very frightening and yet they know that the Lord is driving them on. They feel like there is no guidance or instructions to lead them in what to do. Some people end up bringing the institutional church into their homes. Let Them See You Shine
First and foremost, when it comes to having an intimate relationship, one must be comfortable with oneself. If you hate being alone, it usually has something to do with not liking who you are. If you don't like/love yourself, how can you expect someone else to? A lover, partner, boyfriend, girlfriend, whatever should compliment you, rather than complete you. If your only goal in life seems to be to find a significant other, because you don't feel whole, than it is more than likely that you will use that person as an escape from you and your reality. Work on getting to know yourself and the traits that you find you are proud of. Make a list, if you have to...a list of all the things you think are wonderful about yourself. Those are the traits that others will be drawn to. Look at yourself in the mirror on a regular basis and see yourself without any barriers...the you that you should be letting others see, not the one you try to portray.Do your homework i.e. ask your friends (your real friends) and your family to honestly tell you (no holds barred) what they find so endearing about you. Compare their answers to your own and see if they match. If they don't, take a close look at what they see. Decide what you love about yourself; take those traits and play them up.If you are a woman and have mesmerizing, sexy eyes, make them pop. Remember when batting your eyelashes was synonymous with flirting? Experiment with make-up and make those eyes shine! Don't overdo it...just help them out a bit. Most men don't go for the whole "made-up" look, but a small amount in the right colors, strategically placed, will give your eyes that "come hither" look. Your eyes play a huge role in flirting. If you use face make-up, use as little as possible, while still covering up any problem areas you might have. When it comes to blush, just a tad, to give you a natural sun-kissed glow. Don't end up with clown cheeks...not attractive. Lipstick and gloss should be close to your natural lip color and not match your fire engine red shoes. One's mouth is a flirting mecca. Remember, if the relationship becomes serious, that new man in you life is going to see you sans make-up, and you don't want it to be a shocker when your face is naked. I remember I once had this boyfriend that I wanted to look great for all the time. When the relationship advanced to the point where he was spending the night with me, I used to slip quietly out of bed, very early in the morning and apply a little b

Pros and Cons: What To Know About ResumeTemplates
It's a very tempting thing to simply download a ready-made resume and plug in your details. What's the harm? That's what a template is for, after all: to make things easier. This is both true and not. There are distinct advantages to using a resume template, just as there are distinct disadvantages. Here, we will outline them so you may decide what is best for you.Advantages:To begin, a resume template is--above all things--simple. Whether you find them online or in a book, you can easily see how to create a resume. By copying it down, you can just put in your details and fill in the blanks. This can cut down on the confusion often associated with creating a resume, and make the focus less about learning the rules and more about completing the project. Also, resume templates offer a variety of choices and styles. Typically, the Chronological or the Functional format are used; however, templates can cover a broader range and give you more selection. In some cases, your background may not seem suited to the more popular styles, so you can use a better choice.Resume templates also insure correctness. Rather than trying to guess at how large a font should be or where the best place to out a detail is, templates will give you examples. This can help you stop making those little mistakes that ruin your chances with future employers. A template shows you the proper formatting and style.Disadvantages:You may think, from the above section, that resume templates have no faults. This is not correct. Some people have the misfortune of relying solely of templates. Because of this, they try to comply with every section and detail provided. This does not always work. Resume templates are guides, but some see them as law. If there is an area provided, they will fill it--even when they have no details to fill it with. This, of course, creates a problem. Potential employers will be confused by your providing information that does not apply to your history, or even to the position. Also, resume templates offer many choices for style. While this can be an advantage--as explained earlier--it can also be a problem. Most employers prefer the Chronological or Functional format. If you present them with a little-known style, they may not understand it. This can cause your resume to be thrown out. Do not be too impressed with the possibilities. Your resume should be functional and, if you choose a style because it looks the best or requires minimal effo

Online Dating - Talking To A Man For The First Time
Meeting new men online can be exciting and fun, but ultimately you want to meet them in person. Your first phone call with an online match may decide if the relationship moves forward or ends. Take the time to prepare for a successful first phone call.Get A Calling CardThere is a good possibility that you will end up communicating with men that are outside your local calling area. Local toll calls can be quite expensive. A way around this is to get a calling card. Costco has calling cards for 2.9 cents a minute, for local and long distance calls. This compares to 10+ cents a minute from your local phone company.Ask For His Phone NumberIn order to preserve your privacy, do not give out your phone number to your online matches. When you are ready to talk on the phone with your match, let him know in an e-mail. Say that you don't give out your number, but if he trusts you with his phone number, you would enjoy talking with him on the phone. If a man absolutely insists on calling you, close out the match. He does not respect your need to feel safe and secure.Ask Him When Is A Good Time To CallWhen one of your online matches gives you his phone number, write him back and thank him. Tell him that you are looking forward to talking with him and ask him when would be a good time to call. When you receive his response, e-mail him back with the approximate time you will call him.Conversation TopicsBefore you call your match on the phone, review his profile and your correspondence with him. Use the information from his profile and your correspondence to come up with a few conversation topics. Write down four or five friendly questions that you would like to ask him. Should the conversation drag or you get a little flustered, you can use one of your questions to help get the conversation back on track.Use *67If you enter *67 before dialing a telephone number, it will block your name and phone number from coming up on a caller ID unit.Give Him Your Undivided AttentionWhen it comes time to call your online match, try to minimize your distractions. Don't call him from your cell phone while you are driving. Don't call him from your home while you are doing the dishes. Your match deserves your undivided attention. Since you are calling him, try to be understanding if you catch him in the middle of something and he is a bit distracted for a few moments.C

Diabetes - What is Type 2 Diabetes?
Type 2 Diabetes is by far the most common type of the disease accounting for 90-95% of all cases. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) estimates that 21 million Americans have diabetes and that only two thirds of them even know it. Type 2 starts in middle age or later. It is growing so rapidly because of the epidemic in obesity not only in the US but all over the world. There is no cure but there is plenty you can do to prevent it and then control it.Type 2 is a chronic condition that affects the way your body metabolizes sugar the main source of fuel. When people eat food, it is broken down into a sugar known as glucose, which is then released into the blood where it is carried to cells inside the body. Insulin is made by the pancreas to help the cells use the glucose from the blood.People with Type 2 Diabetes have insulin resistance which prevents insulin from processing glucose properly. Soon more and more insulin is produced to overcome the resistance. During the later stages of the disease as the resistance increases, the blood glucose increases to above safe levels, but the body can't use it properly and the body actually starves for more energy. If left untreated and again most people don't know they have it, disastrous results are sure to come. It increases risk for eye, nerve, blood vessel, heart, and kidney problems. Many people diagnosed with Type 2 are obese and have a sedentary lifestyle. Just getting older is also a risk factor, because as we age our resistance to insulin can rise too. 21 percent of people over 60 have diabetes-a scary statistic!!The most important thing to remember, if you are diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes is that it is possible to control your diabetes instead of letting it control you. But it is in your hands.

Unfortunately, because of this influence from the institutional church, most people come to believe that going to meetings is equated with serving God. They feel that if they do not "attend church" they will somehow not be following Yeshua. I have seen many people in bondage because of this. However, this could not be further from the truth. This is a precept that has been taught — either directly or indirectly — in order to maintain the illegal line of authority within the local body of Messiah, to "control the masses".

So then how do we know what we are supposed to do? Are we really commanded by God to meet together with brothers and sisters once a week? If we do meet, what is the purpose of these meetings? How does all of this come about? "If only the early followers of Yeshua had left us some kind of example," I've heard many people say. Well, in fact, they did. The examples and instructions are actually given in the book of Acts and many of the letters of Paul, Peter, James, and others. Let's take a look at the Scriptures and see what they have to teach us about all of this. Some of it is a bit surprising, given what the institutional church has been doing for 1,700 years. But if you are truly seeking the Lord to know His truth, you'll do just fine. In fact, once you see it, you'll be surprised how simple it really is.

First, let's see what the Scriptures say about the requirement for a regular meeting.

Are We Commanded to Meet Together?

The writer of the letter to the Hebrews makes the statement:

"... and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near" (Hebrews 10:24-25).

In looking at this passage, first notice that this is not a commandment from God; rather it is an encouragement by a brother in the Lord. Next, notice that although the writer is speaking of assembling together, he doesn't mention that it is on any kind of a regular basis or on a predetermined day. He is focusing on the purpose of the gatherings themselves: stimulating each other to love and good deeds, and encouraging each other. He makes the comment, "all the more as you see the day drawing near". As the darkness continues to grow in this world, we need to draw closer together that we might be edified. But again, no commandment to meet on a regular basis.

There is one place in Torah that some might interpret to mean that we are to gather together once a week. Leviticus 23.3 states:

"For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You shall not do any work; it is a sabbath to the Lord in all your dwellings." This is the only verse in which it is stated this way. In all the other places the Lord speaks of the weekly sabbath, He does not mention a "convocation".

I have discussed the observance of the sabbath in another article so we don't need to go into that here. But let's take a look at this verse from a different perspective.

The Hebrew word which is translated in this verse as c
