The above example would work as an email signature and a forum signature. I would have the link point to my BLOG and link to my auctions from my BLOG.
Some may say that email sig files are dead. I disagree. In less then one hour you can set-up your email program to automatically append your signature to every email. Set it up once and you are done.
Don't send out email just to promote your signature, that would be SPAM. Don't post in forums just to promote your signature. That is also SPAM.
Go about your business, but now take advantage of the empty space at the bottom of your emails and forum posts.
Visit forums and help people. Your URL signature will be the bottom of every post and people will see that you know what you are talking about and help others.
